Gasthaus Zum Goldenen Löwen in Ilmtal

At Christmas we had to go without our annual goose because of the Covid virus. Instead, we ordered a goose in the Golden Lion for six people and picked up the plates. First of all, the goose was excellent, the skin of the breast and the leg were crispy and yet tenderly melted on the tongue. The meat fell off the bone with little effort. The sauce was flavored with an aromatic Christmas flavor (presumably orange / cinnamon?!?). The side dishes like kale, red cabbage, dumplings and lamb's lettuce are delicious. Portions fed us all. Nothing was missing, except the ambience to be able to eat in a restaurant. We hope you get through the difficult time. We continue to support you. Greetings from Marco

Super atmosphere. Were spontaneously here and both the operator recommended here and the food are. Also, the phone reception is great as you can see in the evaluation. However, I have to say who are here because of the receiving fewer stars who truly one of the waffle. Reviews are there to the location to assess itself and simply turn off the dinner and enjoy and do not stare at mobile!

Super service, very flexible. Even without registration, 2 places made free! Food totally delicious and hard to manage! And that with the cell phone reception and the constant reception is the complaint on a very high level. I am glad that there are still places where you can chat and that the thrill of receiving cell phones does not start immediately after entering the inn. Slow down and talk to each other!

Great food and cozy atmosphere. The newly opened beer garden is the coronation, lovingly furnished with seating and a beautiful wooden wall.
